Robert Ericksen is a professor of history at Pacific Lutheran University. He received his B.A from Pacific Lutheran University in 1967, his M.A from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1969, and his Ph.D from the University of London in 1980. He specializes in the history of the Holocaust, Modern Germany, Modern Europe, and Western Civilization. Ericksen is the author of several books, including Complicity in the Holocaust: Churches and Universities in Nazi Germany (2012), Betrayal: German Churches and the Holocaust co-edited with Susannah Heschel (1999), Theologians Under Hitler (1985).
