Andrew Whitehead is an associate professor of Sociology at Clemson University. He has a B.A. in Psychology from Purdue University, an M.A. in Sociology from Baylor University, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Baylor University. The author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, Whitehead’s research on Christian nationalism and childhood disability has been featured in The Washington Post, CNN Today, and The Huffington Post, among others. His first book, Taking America Back For God: Christian Nationalism in the United States, the first comprehensive empirical analysis of Christian nationalism in the United States, was released in February 2020.
